About Us

John Woodruff, owner and pilot, started piloting small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) as a licensed Independent Adjuster 12 years ago, using drones for commercial and residential property inspections; collecting photographs of overviews, specific shots of damage, and videos of loss locations and surrounding areas. His flights were frequently in tight, close-proximity inspections of roofs and multiple story elevations (facades); avoiding trees, wires, and other common obstacles, where he honed skills flying manually without crash avoidance systems.

 

Through the use of drones as a utility for inspections, an interest in further applications for aerial drones was born.  An expansion of airframes with different capabilities led to adding missions for Photogrammetry, Thermal captures, and LiDAR data collection for mapping, reports, and functional data captures.  This interest also led to obtaining Certification as an sUAS Level I Thermographer for infrared missions.  It further led to interests in agricultural, industry, real estate, and the nearly endless variety of potentials for relatively inexpensive aerial applications.

 

Our pilots are FAA part 107 Certified sUAS Commercial Drone Pilots and are fully insured for all drone work. We are familiar with several different drone manufacturers’ products but most familiar with DJI. We currently have and fly missions with:

DJI Mavic (1st generation);

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine;

Microdrones md4-1000 with HRLidar 1000 unit;

DJI Matrice 4T (thermal) with extended flight bundling for greater air-time on missions; and,

DJI Neo, a pocket sized interior / exterior drone with amazing capabilities packed into a small frame.

 

We approach every flight with thorough and comprehensive preparation with complete mission detailing to ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and completion of the set parameters for the mission goals.
